I have a question that maybe someone here could answer... Is this game worth getting as the ONLY bought game with a new Wii? I mean.. Is it the type of game that you could play in March and still be in love with around Christmas? I might get a Wii if I didn't get a ticket.. (Tickets* actually... I ran through a yellow light fairly late and may have triggered a red light picture to be taken, with the passenger having no seatbelt and 4 people crammed in the back with no seatbelts... That's like 300 for the red light, 100 bucks a person with no seatbelt, and another bunch for the extra person...) But if I didn't, the Wii might be mine after all. I think it has that kind of play value. Plus the Wii comes with Wii Sports so.... you'd be set. ;D

The replay value is extremely high. I played Melee consistently all the way from 2001 up until Brawl.

It's going to be awesome that Lucario is replacing Mewtwo. Mewtwo sucks in the other games. Mewtwo isn't bad if u know how to use him...

Mewtwo was very low tier, so if two players with the exact same skill level, one using Mewtwo and another using Peach or another higher tier character, played each other, Mewtwo would lose.

Well, looks like I have to send my Wii into Nintendo. All of the sudden I'm getting a disc read error.

Recently I played Brawl at a friends house, and I'm actually pretty dang disappointed. Here is a game that came out EXCLUSIVELY on the Wii, and yet it doesn't incorporate any of the motion technology, like swinging to hit... Is there a mode of some sort where that could be turned on, or is the feature completely left out?
Plus... It seems so completely random at first. You're just jumping and pushing buttons hoping something cool will happen. But maybe that's just me and my inexperience with the game plus not playing it solo before-hand.
It gave me the feeling of "alright, it's an ok game" but not "HOLY CRAP THIS IS AWESOME! I need to dump $300 so I can play this!".... :-\

As far as incorporating the motion technology, smash isn't really a game meant for motion technology. I think it was a good decision to make it optional. It may seem completely random if you aren't familiar with the controls. Different controllers result in different controls. Brawl uses four different types. The Wiimote, the Wiimote + Nunchuk, the Classic controller, or the Game Cube controller. I use the GC controller. Take a look around the Dojo if you want to learn how the control schemes work. www.smashbros.com/en_us/howto/index.html
