Code Name: Hide post until reply Code Description: Members must reply to view post Board URL: dramaslovers.proboards99.com/Need it By: Whenever it is convenient for you (as soon as possible ^_^) Details... I'm not familiar with coding, so I can't really ask for much. However, at some forums that I've seen, the poster posts up links that MUST be hidden UNTIL each member viewing that post replies. In other words, anyone who wants to see the content of the post MUST reply to the thread (I guess you can say it's another mechanism for gaining posts to a forum). Thank you for your time & effort and I'm really sorry if I have neglect anything. I tried to follow the rules to my best abilities. ^_^ Thanks a billion!

The description of that code would I ideal be perfect for my situation; however, after trying it out, the result is just a box around the content I'm trying to hide but there's nothing hidden!

no, I meant have you replied to the topic on your forum? That would be why its showing.
I think you also need to put [hide] tags around the post.

I haven't post in my forum but I can still see the content. *_* I did put the " [hide][/hide]" tags around it and all I've gotten is a black box that frames it. Does this happen because I'm the admin? It's working when I signed in as a regular member. Thanks for your help!

For some reason, I can only hide the content in certain boards and in other boards, if I try to hide the content, it redirected me back the the main page of that board. *_* Also, if my members try to click that post with the hidden message, they are logged out and can never actually get into the actual thread. Is this a bug in the coding?

I don't think it's supposed to do that either; however, it does. (As posted in the first post:) dramaslovers.proboards99.com/Check the Anime, Manga, and Music boards, please. For the anime & manga boards, whenever the members post, they are automatically logged out; for the Music board, everytime members try to post, it brings them back to the main page of that certain board. I don't know if this matters but I also have the boards under password protection. The password to access the board after you sign up is: simie.

I replied to a post in the anime boards, and it worked fine for me. What browsers are they using when they get the error?

They are using Firefox. I'm not sure if the script is okay with cross-browser.

I used both IE & Firefox and I get that problem all the time. Maybe it's the cookies or some kind of preferences? *_* There's a pattern that it goes through: - I logged in as a regular member to try to post to reveal the content in the first post, it redirects back to the password protection page for the board.
- After inputting the password in the field, it takes me to the main page of the board I was at.
- The post that I entered is not there. It is as if I have never even posted!
