I got into some visual basic. I didn't learn too much, but I learned enough to make my own cheap little game

Hate to bring this topic from the dead... But I'm taking a class in school about computer programming, and we've been using Visual Basic to program. Not quite what I expectd when I pictured a programming class... But it's a start XD.
You know C++? That's what I really wanna learn, is C, C++, (more) Javascripting and just Java, so that it'll be easier for me to go into the game programming work force, as that's what I wanna do for a living: program games.

well, giving yourself a head start before doing any courses about C or C++ always helps, and if you know JavaScript or Java you'll get the hang of it quite quickly, a lot of the coding languages have some of the same features and ways of working for example...
Gettting a form value with Javascript:
<script type="text/javascript"> <!--
var itemvalue = document.getElementById('myformvalue'); vare item = itemvalue.value;
// --> </script>
With PHP:
<?php $formvalue = $_POST[myformvalue]; ?>
See, they both have a way of getting something, most things also have if/else and loops.

Yeah, most languages have stuff in common. I'm gonna take a Java programming class next year in school (that way it'll be easier for me to learn more complex JavaScript, since I already know a little bit of basic JS).
