Is there a free graphix program that I can download and use? I'm interested in making graphics. I'm even taking an IMM class. (I? ?? Multe Media)

I use The GIMP or GIMPshop, and then if you need somthing like Adobe Illustrator, use Inkscape.

My favorite graphics program (for free) right now, which I use over Photoshop (which I also have), is Serif Photoplus 6. You can find it on Google easily, and it's an awesome program.
If you use it though, if you resize too much, or copy things a lot, save your stuff a lot. It crashes since too much memory on the program is used if you copy and resize stuff too much.

I'd suggest GIMP 2 ( www.gimp.org). I still use it sometimes over PS CS2. It just takes a little time to learn how things work, but it's still a pretty awesome graphics program =).
