i am about to go crazy! i need a graphics program, the thing is I'm still worrying about my school fees so wanting to buy photoshop isn't even a question to me!!!!!! so yeah gimp hasn't been much help and i need something thats not confusing!! I'm willing to do anything to get a graphics program for my forum and myself! so yeah... if you know anything thats a graphics program let me now! plus i need to make stuff transparency a unfinnished project, i cannot countinue if it wont trasparent

GIMP is gonna be about the best thing you can get for a freeware graphics program. Just learn up on using it.
Oh, and also, if you want your background to be transparent, either make it transparent when you first make your image (in the File>New dialog), under the Advanced section, change the background fill to Transparent. Or, if you already have your image, made, go to your Layers dialog box, and click on your background layer. Set the opacity (it's the moveable bar at th etop of the Layers dialog) to 0%. You also have to save it in a format that allows transparency. I highly suggest using .png over .gif It seems that .png's are better quality than .gif's, and are usually a small size as well.

i tried that kind of paint but its still not what i'm looking for to use, and gimp can't be the only program

Well all programs are giong to be confusing at first. Even PS is confusing at first, until you get the hang of everything.

Go to PBS and ask assasin8 for a site to give you some good tutorials on using it, he will get it for you quickly.
