I'm a little confused on how to do this... I'll try to make my question make sense. I made a 50x50 image and I wanted it to have transparent BG, but when I saved it, it became very low quality... Very choppy, pixely, flattened, and overall terrible looking... I tried to save it as transparent in imageready, but it didn't work, it gave it a white BG. What am I doing wrong?!

How are you saving it? Are you doing "Save as..." or "Save optimized as..." ? You need to do "Saved Optimized as..." which will save it as an animation, rather than just an image with a .gif extension.

I assumed he was making an animation. But yes, if you're just making a still image, don't use GIF, but use PNG, because PNG supports transparency, and it's higher quality.

I know .pngs are of higher quality and support transparency, but I want to know if it's possible to save it as a .gif, and not have get destroyed or lose transparency. I want to know so I can create small pieces (50x50) that are transparent and still be of a decent quality.

Well if they're just still images...why are you sending them to ImageReady in the first place? You can save an image as a GIF in PS too...

Well if they're just still images...why are you sending them to ImageReady in the first place? Because they won't save right in PS. I know, that was the point of my question. xD How can you save small images in PS with a transparent BG, but without completely ruining the quality? I know if you save them as a .gif the quality goes down, but when I save it as a .gif in ImageReady that quality is retained, but it won't save as transparent. So, is there anyway to save a .gif in PS as transparent, but retain the quality? If necessary, I can demonstrate what I'm talking about.
