IE7 was only released a little while ago(not sure how long) and the IE8 Beta is already out. I'm using it right now and the only noticable thing is that is slowly killing me.. the loading times seem to have quadrupled from IE7.
The Web Standards stuff is also brilliant. I now see positioned elements where I actually position them, it's really cool and about time this happend.
Also they've added two new features - Activities and er... WebSnippets or something like that. I haven't really tried either yet but the concepts are well... interesting.
Theres still obviously some tweaks needed as its only Beta 1.

It's a Beta...its not perfect . They've also added a IE7 compatibility mode, I believe.

Believe it or not IE7 was released on 10/18/06. So it's been a while. They needed some updates considering Firefox is already in the 4th Beta version of Firefox 3. Firefox 2 and IE7 were released around the same time. :-)

I knew that FF3 was in Beta.. like before FF2 was out but it never really occured to me to try it. I knew it's a Beta too carnage XD it's pretty much labeled all over it. The IE7 Emulate feature is useful too, it's like having 2 browsers in one

I have not tried to Beta. I don't think I will, I believe you when you say that it is as good as it is. But honestly, it doesn't matter to me that much. I hope that you guys enjoy it. I might end up trying it out sometime, however.

Tried it. Didn't notice much of a difference. Probably will end up sticking with FF.

I never try beta browsers... No real point since I won't browse with it much at all, and I'd be getting it when it's completed anyways. Plus, isn't there a risk of some dangerous vulnerabilities in beta browsers? This makes normal browsing with it more dangerous, and I don't trust norton and AVG enough to compensate.

Not really vulnerability concerns, more like file corruption concerns with Betas...although that's why people are beta testers; they test it/find the bugs in the programs and report 'em.
Also, AVG > Norton. Norton sucks, AVG is way better; although I like Nod32 much more than AVG, personally.

Probably will end up sticking with FF. I know I will stick with FF, but there are always reasons for me to have IE... e.g Web Noobs who don't make their websites cross compatible. Luckily IE8 is up to scratch with standards so I might not need it anymore. Things like Microsoft update too, you need IE for that.

I don't want any IE8, I've had enough with IE and am using Firefox, you might want to try out Firefox 3(Beta).

Instead of sticking with IE7, just get FF2, it's definitely much better than IE7.

I have and use all the main browsers except AOL.
FF2 - My main and favorite browser. I can easily and cleanly browse in one window and everything just seems to work right. IE7 - I use on occasion because some video sites perform better in it for some reason. Verizon Yahoo! - Our internet provider's browser. It's alright, but it tends to perform like crap and stuff just doesn't feel organized in it. My mom prefers it though. Opera - Good browser like FF and IE. I use this whenever I'm browsing video sites that have content I want to keep away from my little brother, graphic content. (no, not porn, sicko.) Especially useful because I can click 3 times and it deletes all my history, cookies, etc, closes all the tabs, and goes to the homepage. = Emergency close. MSN Explorer - Actually, I do not use this because the setup process is CRAP. I can't believe they make you go through all that before you can use the browser. >.> Safari - Eh, it's a Firefox rip-off in my opinion. Give FF2 an iTunes theme and make the url bar the progress bar, and you get Safari.
