I think adults can be so freaking stupid sometimes.
The whole "It'll be done in five minutes" and an hour later it still isn't done.
Doesn't it just make you so mad sometimes?

I'm going to actually vote "no" on this.
A lot of the time, yes, they seem very VERY stupid. However, I feel this is due to a mere difference in priorities. An adult will set your priorities lower than theirs a lot of the time, making it seem they are ignoring you.
It's like how an older brother or sister often tells their younger sibling(s) they will do something later, JUST to get the "annoying brat" to go away, and later usually turns into almost never.

I say yes, becuase they dont need to sit there a freakin lie to us. My dad never lies, but my mom does it all the time. She doesnt know how to stop. Probably why my parents are divorced.

Yeah, I know...at least don't lie to your kids that much unless it really is going to protect them.

You do realize that it isn't just kids that come to XDD right? Then again, I doubt you'll see some 50 year old dad visit here constantly.
It seems you kind of made this entire thread out of biased rage, but I guess I don't know the circumstances if thats true. It can be irritating if it seems like they're ignoring you, but they could have a lot on their hands at the moment and just need to be left alone.

So yeah...not out of biased rage, actually. It was something to do with my mom saying her mom used to do things like that to her, and I hate how she does it to me...then how if I had kids I might do that to them...but is it not irritating?

My mom trust me with almost everything except girls. I can do anything, but when she even hears the word girl she is on my ass.

That is odd... If I went and told my parents I have a GF, I bet one of them (if not both) would ask "did you get her knocked up or something?" cus I never tell them that sort of stuff lol. Doesn't this subject also extend out to teachers? Right now we're trying to learn logic gates in digital electronics out of a BOOK. The teacher just plays solitaire the whole period and we are struggling so damn hard to figure things out. Logic Gates (wiki), alternate Logic Gates page, Karnaugh Maps (wiki). It's so damn tedious to learn this stuff on our own.. He needs to stop being lazy and help us. And if he doesn't know it himself, he should make an attempt to LEARN IT during the 55 minutes he has free during that period. [/rant] >.>

I know what you mean. I have a math teacher who tries to get us to pay him for help for a long time...he stopped now, but still. It made me so mad.

I sure do. My mom always makes promises that she can't keep and most of them are really simple too.

they don't care about you. Its all a lie! but yeah, my parents do that too, so I've just stopped asking them for help and I just chip away at whatever I want done...its easier without them..

Well depends on the thing and depends if I have something to do ... If it's something that needs 5min and takes an hour than yeh it'll piss me off... And if I'm going out with a friend and because of that 5min thingy than yeh I would be mad... But if I have nothing to do and they took more than they needed than I don't care So I'm going with depends =D
