Sorry this stretches the page, if you can fix it, go ahead, but PLEASE don't delete the thread!
Well, I guess a lot of you have heard about the flooding in Indiana eh?
I've been ok, no flooding close to my house, but some of my friends had to stay here, because they couldn't get to their house.
Anyways, this morning, my dad, my brother and I decided to go for a walk, and I got alot of pictures, it was wierd, people were out trying to look at stuff, get into hotels and all that. The roads were almost empty, we could safely walk in the middle of a highway with no trouble. Emergency vehicles everywhere, trying to get power on and stuff.
It was very hot, but the weather was nice.
The hill I live on, looking down.
Fields. They get flooded all the time, but this is much worse.
The road.
I hate that wallgreens. There's a CVS just up the road, and I had my hopes up on that spot for a borders...
These gentlemen are standing on the corner of an intersection on 46, which is pretty darn big. It didn't look too deep, but I heard it might be like 7 feet.
People were just everywhere looking at things. It felt like the
apocalypse and everyone was just sitting back to watch
McDonalds
I feel bad for this guy, he had his windows down too, so I hope nothing got in the car.
I went into the McDonalds Parking lot, it was up to my knees in some places. Unlike the rest of the water which was running and was at least clear, the McDonalds lot was full of stagnant, slimy water.
Inside the McDonalds. They've had some flooding.
The two ladies who own the white car are having some trouble. I think maybe they tried to go into the deep water and screwed something up. The guys in the red truck are trying to jumpstart her car, or whatever you call it. It didn't work.
Under the big bridge. There was a boat out there, and a firetruck was near the edge, but it was still pretty deep.
Zoomed out more.
I'm not sure what these people were doing. Maybe the same thing as me, but they had a bunch of duffel bags and stuff, and some pool toys..
A bunch of cars, covered almost to the roof. I was standing in the middle of Highway 46 when I took this picture.
I didn't make it out this far, but I've heard that there are people sleeping in their cars in the JC parking lot.
This is pretty exciting, but last I heard, there is one death and two people missing
I want to go downtown to get some of the actual city. There isn't as much flooding there, but I assume the streets are deserted and all that. Hopefully I'll post some tomorrow.
Live around here? Post pics of the flooding.
