Ok I'm all down to the following 2 specs... Acer and Toshiba sadly I'm gona chose Acer since I have 1350$ budget and since both specs and laptops are in the same budget but Acer has better specs, now help me know if I'm wrong or correct! I would go with Acer, I hate Toshiba it breaks easy. I had a Toshiba laptop and the whole effing motherboard broke like a week after warranty. Now i have a hp pavilion dv6000, its pretty good for handling games and just a nice all around solid computer.

i didn't do shit i just turned it on and there was just a blue screen, i tried re-installing it with the back up cd but it didn't work

Also, DesertFlame...did you by chance try to use the Recovery Partition? How do you know it was the mobo that went bad?

my friends dad checked it out (he knows how to build computers and all that shit) and said my motherboard was broke, i forgot what else he said but this was like a year or so ago

I like Acer better, i had a Toshiba laptop i dropped it like 2 feet and it broke.

Well that's not really Toshiba's fault for you dropping it, now is it...computer hardware isn't meant to be dropped/shaken around violently .

Well that's not really Toshiba's fault for you dropping it, now is it...computer hardware isn't meant to be dropped/shaken around violently . I dropped my brother's HP about 5 feet and it didn't break though... even though it was on carpet, that's still pretty strong.
