Lol, yes.. A Myspace thread. Why? Because I feel my opinion has changed on the matter.
Before, I was fairly against myspace and it's community. I have always had a myspace, but I never used it... until recently.
Right now, I'm enjoying a lot more of a social life.. as well as people in general. Myspace is a fun, slightly pointless place I can use to keep in touch with them. Sure, a girl I knew who moved to Maine used it to act crazy and wants me to fly out there so we can be together, and she's slightly suicidal so I can't just tell her off... but I haven't really had any bad experiences.
It also helps to have a followup to how people are feeling at the end of the day. The other day a girl I knew was teased until she cried... I didn't get to talk to her that day because she avoided our group, but we talked on Myspace and I managed to cheer her up a little.
Also, it's nice seeing all the pictures on myspace of your friends. Most of the time they are moments you weren't there for, and often never would have heard of.
The point I'm getting at, is that Myspace is not a bad place when used responsibly. I ONLY add people I know in real life.. I don't even usually add bands (although I might).

Around here its Facebook that's popular around my school, so I use that. MySpace only for people over the 'net mostly.

I, too, have started using Myspace more, but I only use it to talk to a few people. The rest I use Facebook for.

Well, MySpace isn't meant to make a website. It's a social site.

Well, I started to treat mine like a website when I was customizing it. The idea is basically the same: use HTML, CSS, and custom images to make your profile look nice.

Yes, but a website generally has place you can go and stay on the site and tends to incorporate javascript and server side scripting that you can control.

Well, MySpace isn't meant to make a website. It's a social site. Thats true about freewebs but piczo is meant to be a social site like myspace too except it page editor is better and can make it look how ever you want

Oh, I hear that new myspace updates in the future will give people waaay more control over the way their pages look, without any knowledge of HTML.
Well, that means nothing to me unless they improved their class and id tags to freaking make it easier to use css.... >.> table table table tr tr tr td td td table table shouldn't be a good way of defining an element...
