Rules There are some simple rules that need to be followed in GT. 1. GT is for All discussions not covered in other boards. 2. Forum Games are allowed in the Forum Games sub-board. 3. The Forum Policy must still be followed. 4. Try to stay on topic. I know it's hard. If you find a new topic to discuss why not just make a new thread for it? GT has pretty loose board rules and they shouldn't be too hard to follow. Happy posting

Spoilers If you have recently seen a movie and want to make a thread about it, take into consideration the following: - Not everyone has seen it yet.
- If someone stumbles upon the thread or needs to read it to check it out, they don't necessarily want to see what happens at the end.
- If someone accidentally sees a sentence they didn't want to, it could have spoiled the movie for them in an instance.
- People pay good money to see and enjoy movies, by ruining the movie you could have just wasted their money, or changed the course of their lives if the movie might have made them think differently about something and they decide they don't need to see it to find out what happens.
- Not every discussion thread has to include spoilers or info about the plot/twists/endings to be good.
Just take those into consideration. It's a little annoying having to mod threads that might have info I don't want to know about in them, mainly movies. Even harder to keep from looking at them. It makes me feel like I'm an idiot in front of a glass vase with a "Do Not touch" sign on it rofl. If I touch it, I could brake it and I would not like that, but the sign makes me want to touch it even more. Note: Don't take this the wrong way and stop making them though, just try to not reveal as much about the movies themselves. If you didn't expect it to happen from the commercials, think before you hit send. - Crazy

Topic & Discussion Help Guide So, you want to talk? Well, GT is PERFECT for that. However, who likes talking to themselves and always on other people's threads? Here are some tips to making threads and keeping threads going... ~ Make up a topic! Making up topics are actually easy. All that you have to do is think of something and word it up a bit to make it into a discussion. Here are some things to consider if you want to think up a good subject: - Something that has happened
- Something you like
- Something you hate/are annoyed about
- Something you see everyone doing and want to talk about it
- Possibilities of a certain thing happening, or how it could happen
- The possibilities are nearly unlimited!
~ OK, have your subject/idea now? Alright. The next thing you have to do is get it posted in a way that will get replies. What do I mean? I mean giving it discussion value, maybe even on different aspects of it. Here are some tips on this: - First take it, and type out some information about it from a point of view that isn't very biased. This way, the reader learns a little about it and doesn't base all their posts on your point of view.
- Now, you would need to come up with some questions. Ask the reader what they think about it. Ask them all sorts of things, such as what they would have done/not done, what their opinion is, if they agree with you, etc...
- Now, you may do this before or after the questions. Answer a couple yourself! Let them know a little about your point of view on the subject. That way they can also put into their reply on whether or not they agree with you. But remember, don't give away an answer to everything, or else you can't add as much to the thread in later posts.
~ Alright, now here are some very good tips that can keep topics going: - Tip 1) Reply! If you haven't posted in that particular thread yet, please do so! Even if it has wondered slightly off-topic, post your opinion about the topic of the thread if you haven't. It always helps to get more responses.
- Tip 2) Keep them Educated! Don't just post a simple answer to anything unless it's a forum game. Posting short replies is about the same as not replying at all, as it adds close to nothing to the discussion. When replying, try to post in sentences, and one or two minimum. That way, you get a good point of view put in and other people can post off of it.
- Tip 3) Stick around! Don't just post once in a thread and decide to never post again. That makes it so we have your opinion, we analyze it, and reply to it, but you never come back to continue it. That can then cause threads to die out and the fun to end.
- Tip 4) Have Fun! Don't be afraid to throw a little bit of humor into your replies occasionally.. Remember, this is a fun forum, not as strict like other forums! ;D (Just do it at the right times, aka: you wouldn't make fun of someone if their mom died, right? lol)
I really hope that these tips will aid everyone and help you people in posting! Together we can keep XD Designs a really active forum and bring in even MORE people to have fun posting with! ~CrAzY~
