How do I get the pre-made button I downloaded and saved on to my comp, onto my proboards forum?

You must host it and put it in the images part of skins/forum colors.

How do I host them? I tried it on photobucket but it says it doesn't have a valid image extension?

what is the extension of the images. like .jpeg .gif .png

You can't host the .psd files, you have to convert them to .jpg, .gif, or .png. If there are any transparent parts to an image, I would use .gif, if not, then use .jpg.

No transparent parts, but I don't know how to convert them to .Jpg, or anything like that.

The only way I know would be to get PhotoShop to open the psd, the resave it as a .jpg. A lot of work for a small thing in my opinion

Open your art program and open up the picture. Then, go to file -> save as... -> rename it so that it's a jpeg or png (I prefer PNG). Then upload it.
